It’s revealed in the DMC4 novel deadly fortune Agnus found the Yamato on the outskirts of Fortuna though it still never explains how it escaped the underworld or where the other fragments went but it is confirmed that Agnus found the sword a few years before the events of DMC4

I'm new to RE games and the fact that this remake is such a shell of the original just makes me sad. This was one of my most anticipated RE game I wanted to experience because of nemisis alone. Instead I feel I'd be better off just skipping it and playing RE4. The original RE3 looks awesome I wish I was old enough to play these games then

The story of this series ended up very cringe and I say that as someone who still has the pre-Andromeda books on their bookshelf. It just wouldn't get the fuck out of its own way. I'm late to the party but my way of dealing with it is, I play until citadel, enjoy the fun moments and start over, I never even bother with the attack on Cerberus anymore. In defense of Bioware, it was EA that forced them to rush into a unfinished mess of a game, because the managers who know about stocks and trade but zilch about games forced them to do stupid stuff all over like putting a multiplayer into a game that was even needed to get the best result.
